Fruit and Vegetable Bingo Games to practice vocabulary

Vocabulary bingo games are a great way to reinforce listening/repeating skills and are an amazing tool for vocabulary retention in ELL classrooms. These sets are great because I’ve included matching flashcards! You can teach, review and get everyone up to speed before playing the game! It’s finally Spring and depending on what part of the world you’re in – it’s starting to warm up. You might have already planted some flowers, vegetable and herbs with your students or your own kids.
I always feel like this is the perfect time to start my vegetable and fruits unit with my EFL students. It just seems that there is so much going on throughout the year – even if the unit come up in my text book earlier, we skip over it and come back to it in the Spring. I love using mini-erasers as bingo markers. I also find that the best way to make these resources last throughout the years is to print them in color on white paper and then laminate them using a laminating machine  like this very affordable version from Amazon basics and laminating pouches.*These are affiliate links.
After you’ve invested the time printing and laminating, you won’t regret it! Your materials will be ready to pull out and use every year (and practically indestructible).

Here’s a few cute practice games to get started! The great thing about my bingo sets is that they come with matching flashcards! If you are in the midst of trying to teach English online to your students, this is a great way to start. Use the flashcards in the online lesson and the bingo boards once your students are back in the classroom!
