Letter matching activities are the best way to practice UPPERCASE and LOWERCASE alphabet letters. Kids love the hands on matching and the moveable pieces help with fine motor skills as well. My DONUT alphabet matching kit is a great one for young learners. They love the colorful theme. You can also make a fun donut day activity by getting donuts and eating them after the activity. This is a pre-literacy matching card set that can be used with or without parent/teacher supervision. I can’t tell you how much these photo keeper boxes have come in handy throughout the years for storing educational games, cards and supplies. I get asked so often, “Where can I find those colorful boxes in your pictures?”. Well – the secret is out! They are photo keepers sized 4×6. You can purchase them on amazon using this link: PHOTO BOX & CRAFT KEEPER. (This is an affiliate link).I really find that they are the best way to keep small pieces together, identify small pieces as a set and also create sets that children are comfortable opening/closing, using and then putting away. Routine is also important for young learners. The photo boxes are great because kids can also choose which activity they want to use by indicating a colored box!

Another fun set is the HONEY BEE alphabet matching game. Kids will try to match lowercase and uppercase letters to give the honey bee a matching set of wings to fly away! This activity helps preschoolers feel more confident matching letters, understanding letter sounds and provides a solid pre-literacy base. Enjoy those ABC’s!
